Delhi seek survival; pride at stake for Bangalore

Rahul Dravid batted with freedom against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday but it was a hopeless cause and his team were to ultimately fall to yet another defeat, their eighth in the competition and Dravid knows that the Royal Challengers have never challenged in the competition because of their failure to do the T20 basics right.

"We are trying a few things, it's not that we have been standing there and doing the same thing. In fact, we have been accused of trying out too many things," said Rahul Dravid, captain of the Bangalore Royal Challengers.

The Daredevils, on the other hand, still hold their fate in their own hands. Rain handed out an unexpected defeat against the Kings XI Punjab at home and they know losing now will leave them with too much to do on the home stretch and some of their big-name signings know the time to justify their price tags is now.

"I have been trying to give a good performance and adjust to the conditions. But I have been very disappointed with my performance. But hopefully I will be given another chance to prove myself," said AB de villiers, member of the Delhi Daredevils.

In front of their home crowd, the Royal Challengers would want to repair some of their damaged reputation. So while the Daredevils start favourites, the result isn't a foregone conclusion.
